Liz Coxe artist

Painting is my second act.

After a 30-year corporate career, I returned to art, my college major. Immediately I became absorbed in and focused on the visual process; time flew by in the studio. Although the product seemed disappointing at first, I was so engrossed in the process that I knew I had come home.

Now, "10,000 hours" later, I make portrait, still life, and landscape paintings. My work is representational, and most often from direct observation.  The process is a joyful meditation!
